Hi all,
We wanted to inform you that in the next few days, we will be transitioning to a new device management system. This change will be facilitated by Kandji, which is designed to ensure that you have all the necessary apps and tools required for a productive work environment. Additionally, Kandji will help us keep essential applications such as Chrome, Zoom, Slack, and others up to date. Regular software updates are essential for enhancing our overall security posture by reducing exposure to potential vulnerabilities. Moreover, Kandji will enforce iPhone security best practices, including encryption and screen lock, to ensure the safety of our devices.
To give you a brief overview of what to expect during this transition, we have outlined some key points:
Seamless App and Tool Delivery: Kandji will streamline the delivery of apps and tools, making them readily accessible to you for work-related tasks.
Automatic Software Updates: Kandji will handle software updates for various applications and operating systems, ensuring they are always up to date with the latest security features and improvements.
Enhanced Security: Kandji will enforce essential security measures, such as encryption and screen lock, to safeguard our iPhones and protect sensitive information.
We understand that change can be a little unsettling, but we believe that Kandji will significantly enhance our device management capabilities and contribute to a more secure and productive work environment.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the upcoming transition, please feel free to reach out to our IT support team. We are here to assist you and ensure a smooth migration process.
Thank you for your cooperation and readiness for this change.
Here's a quick overview of what to expect during the migration, along with the necessary steps you need to take to prepare for the move:
Who's impacted?
All employees who have a company iPhone will be affected by this migration.
What do you need to do?
-
Backup Your iPhone Data:
Make sure you have a full backup of your iPhone data in your Quandoo Google Drive. This backup is essential to ensure that your data remains safe during the migration.
Log out from your Apple ID
-
Wipe Your Device:
Before starting the migration process, you will need to wipe your device. This action will erase all the existing data on your iPhone, so it's crucial to have a backup as mentioned in step 1.
-
Start a New iPhone Configuration:
After wiping your device, you can proceed with starting a new iPhone configuration. This step will involve setting up your iPhone with the necessary settings, including the new device management system (Kandji).
-
Follow Provided Screenshots:
We have included screenshots to guide you through the configuration process, making it easier for you to follow the steps and set up your iPhone correctly.
-
Data Migration from iCloud/Apple Account:
Please note that you will not be able to use your iCloud/Apple account for data migration during this process. If you have data saved on your iCloud/Apple account that you wish to retain, you must move it into your Google Drive to ensure it is preserved during the migration.
Log out now from Apple ID if you did not do it yet.
-
Moving Notes to Google Keep:
If you have any notes saved on your iPhone, you will need to manually transfer them to Google Keep. Apple notes are tied to your Apple ID and cannot be automatically migrated, so this step is essential to retain your notes.
If you have documents, download Google Drive from the Apple store and upload all the documents you want to keep.

To log in to the Host app be aware of the fact that in Kandji the Host app in Kandji was actually production app. How I solved it:
- Downloaded the latest build Host Alpha from Firebase App Distribution from one of the emails you received
- Enabled the developer mode (before downloading the Host alpha, developer mode wasn't showing up in the privacy and security settings, afterwards it was visible)
- On Host Alpha use the following credentials:
